As a mama with a 3 yr old and 4m old my best advice is to choose one day of the week to escape for 1-2 hr with your toddler. Weather it be a walk, the park, the pool, anything. Your toddler will look forward to just the two of you.

I have and still do a mommy date at least once a week with each kiddo. It helps me bond one on one and connect and I can also narrow in on anything I’ve missed over the week being in mom mode . Little dates give me the opportunity to slow down and enjoy designated time with each kiddo.

Postpartum after my second baby, I felt a sense of sadness that the time with my first daughter alone had came to an end. What helped immensely with that was monthly I scheduled a “date” with just her and I while our younger daughter stayed with dad. Our favorite thing to do was go to a park and then Barnes and noble and pick out a new book. We still like doing this together. Thank you for sharing your journey with us

I remember watching you, making coffee, doing seasonal gyst, and being a Canadian gal who returned to her hometown from the city of her dreams, just moved into her own home and just started a new relationship with your (now fiance), your kitchen, your atmosphere, your life are very different but good vibes have been remaining since then. Now I'm watching you, spending time with your first baby and prepping for your second baby while tackling tasks and crossing things off from your to-do lists.
